Myles Mathews turned 7 Sunday without his doting grandmother. Different from all of his other birthdays. But clearly Myles had her — Akron's Barbara Mathews, who died Aug. 29 following a private and courageous battle with breast cancer — in mind when he blew out the candles at his Bloomfield Hills, Mich., home.
